In one faraway land stands an ancient hill,
It keeps the souls of those who died and were killed.
There is an old cemetery with monuments within,
The beautiful angel figure is standing in.

Forgotten civilization left us a heritage,
They have created for many ages.
They thought that their memory would remain for many years,
But the tomb with an angel stands abandoned here…

No one puts flowers at his feet,
No one will light a candle on Memorial Day.
Wild herbs fill tombstones with their seeds,
And only black ravens fly this way.

Among the destroyed chapels and desecrated graves
This angel can tell us his mournful tales.
There are half-erased letters on a shield under his hand,
The angel is the memory of the dying land…
